reog ponorogo

Reog ponorogo is one of the traditional dance culture from Ponorogo district,east Java. The Dancers use various and very interesting uniform especially tiger mask. They dance uncontrolled and also even they eat glass,any kind from bottle until lamp,because they believe that they have been "controlled" by spirits of the death. The reog ponorogo dancers also in some areas were presenting and including children. You will be fascinating seeing this children act beyond their normal habits and behaviour. You must know also that the main player of this dancer is using his teeth to the mask and you know the weight of the mask ??? more than 30 kg!!!!

Panjang Island

There is an island near Jepara. It is Panjang island. It's small island with white sand, beautiful coral and forest. We can make a tend and camping. Swimming, snorkling and play football. No electricity but very amazing place because we can enjoy the view in the night.Silent and peace.

Karimunjawa has beautiful coral.We can see coral by glass boat or snorkling. Usually,we go by glass boat,we can watch the coral from the boat. I'm sure you want to swim and watch the coral under the water. Don't worry because the boat driver rent a lot of matrials for snorkling or diving. so.. we can go snorkling or diving to enjoy this coral.

It's my favorite activities at Karimunjawa island. I can see beautiful coral and small fish with amazing colour. I always forget my problem when snorkling, i just enjoyed my activities. don't worry about the wae, because it's quite wave and no deep. We can lay down on the white beach and drink something if you tired after snorkling. Under the sun shine...wowww...i feel like in a heaven.

Promasan village

Promasan is the last village passed when we climb to ungaran mountain. It just 12 houses and 1 mosque. so many climber just camping in this area every saturday because they want to climb. Tea farm arround of promasan. local people activity are selling food for climber and worker in the tea farm. Nice view...because we could see top of ungaran mountain. There is fresh water, we could drink directly.

In promasan we cook with pawon(traditional cooking way, we use wood for cooking. 200 metres from promasan we'll find japan cave. Japan built this cave at 1943. Japan used this cave for protection from dutch. It has 28 rooms in the cave. So...come to Promasan

Here are javanesse dancers. Java dance is move so slowly and and very soft.Gamelan(Java music) combined with dancers is very good. I'm very happy watching the dancers because they are beautiful ladies. You can see Java dance at TBRS(Taman Budaya Raden Saleh) at semarang every saturday night.

karimunjawa's coral

It's a picture of karimunjawa's coral. We just snorkling,then we will see a great view of coral. Small fish swimming arround us. The fish is like very friendly to us. I was there since morning till evening, and i didn't want to go home because i like that place. We can see coral at Menjangan kecil island or Menjangan besar island. You can drink coconut water if you thirsty. Amazing experiences.

MERBABU MOUNTAIN

Merbabu is a mountain in Central Java. It close with Merapi mountain. Merbabu means mountain of ash from the Indonesian word babu.The active volcano Mount Merapi is directly adjacent on its south-east side, while the city of Salatiga is located on its northern foothills. A 1,500m high broad saddle lies between Merbabu and Merapi, the site of the village of Selo and highly fertile farming land.
Merbabu can be climbed from several routes originating from the town of Kopeng on the north east sideside, and also from Selo on the southern side. A climb from Kopeng to Kenteng Songo takes between 8 and 10 hours.
We will enjoy the view when we climb it. So many climber go there especially at Saturday night or Indonesia Independence Day

Lawangsewu

Lawangsewu is Dutch building in Semarang.Lawang it means door,sewu it means a thousand. So.. lawangsewu is a building which has a lot of doors. It built 1903-1907. It was Dutch train office or Nederlandsch Indische Spoorweg Naatschappij(NIS.Lawangsewu close with Tugumuda monument or Wilhelmina Plein.Lawang sewu is something nice, the architecture, the stained glass windows,and underground room.Local people told me this room is dutch execution room,when the dutch want to punish local people who againts dutch. So many visitors come to lawangsewu to see the architecture and the magic power, because several people believes there are ghost in lawangsewu. You have to prove it..

Kalisidi Waterfall

When i want to clim to Ungaran mountain, I always choose Jimbaran way. Last week i choose a new track. I passed Kalisidi village. i like this trip because we saw beautiful view.We passed rice field, river and everything. I was so happy when i found a waterfall. Local people said..it's a kalisidi Waterfall. Small waterfall but very nice. I was swimming directly...so fresh. We can go to the top of Ungaran arround 4 hours from kalisidi waterfall.

GEDONGSONGO TEMPLE

Gedongsongo temple is a good place to refreshing because it has fresh air and nice view. It's about 20 km from Semarang. There is a nature warm water, so we can swim in the warm water. We can by horse to arround this temple, we just pay Rp.25.000. The entrance for lokal people just Rp.3.000 and foreigner just $1. You will enjoy in this place. Sometime some people climb to Ungaran mountain from this place. You can find so many place to eat if you feel hungry.

KREO CAVE

Kreo cave is a good place to visited because its in village far away from Semarang city, but it has good acces to get there. We can go there by public mini bus which connects Semarang-Kreo Cave-Gunungpati.We can enjoy the natural beauty panorama.We will get fresh air,nice view, enjoy small waterfall with fresh water. We will see so many monkeys.woowww.. this place is so amazing

SEMARANG GREAT MOSQUE

This mosque is very big. It has tower 99 m.Wooww....very high. 99m is symbol of God, because God has 99 names. There are big umbrellas to prevent rain or sunshine when the people praying. We just pay Rp.4.000 and we can go to the top of tower. we could see Semarang view. Woooww... beautiful, better we go at night than afternoon because night is better. So many light in Semarang city.

PRACTISE GAMELAN

In Dukuh village,we could practise gamelan. Gamelan is Java traditional music. A trainer always ready to teach us how to play gamelan. So many kind of gamelan,we can choose which one that we like. Wooowww it's so difficult,don't worry... the trainer is very good, so we will able to play directly. This music makes us enjoy and sleepy.

Sam Poo Kong

Sam Poo Kong is a famous klenteng in Semarang.It's a Chinesse building, built at 2002 as give honour for Cheng Ho(moslem admiral) as grand grand father of Chinesse in semarang. A lot of statue in this building and smell of dupa for praying.

SAROONG STYLE

Saroong is Javanesse traditional clothes. Javanesse always use it,woman or man. Man and woman have different style. Man just wear and till stomach, but woman always wear it till thorax to cover their breast. Sometimes javanesse wear saroong like a Japanese ninja or a robber when they feel cold. Farmer always use saroong for bring cassava or sweet potatoes after from rice field because they don't have bag. Children always use saroong for having fun, because they just play and make saroong like a circle on the air

Inn and Karamba at Karimunjawa

There is Inn and Karamba at Karimunjawa. Karamba is fish pool for breeding. We could stay in that inn,enjoy silent night and seeing fish in that pool. The most sensation of this place is we stay 2 km from the island. so..we stay on the sea. Sometimes big wind and big wave makes us so scared, but don't worry because the house is strong. It's cheap price to rent this house. The owner will bring us from the island to this house by boat and bring us everywhere we want

SURAKARTA PALACE

Surakarta palace at Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. In javanesse, Palace means Kraton.It's the kingdom building several centurys ago. Before Indonesia formed, there was Surakarta palace. Surakarta has synonym with Solo. The king has biggest power. After Indonesia country formed,Surakarta integrate with Indonesia. Now, Surakarta's king doesn't has power like a king before, because Indonesia is a republic country. The king just keep the Javanesse culture in Solo and arround Solo.

The king always keep about Javanesse dance, javanesse traditional music called gamelan, and everything about culture.

It's nice place, and there is a Kraton museum. It has materials about kingdom,weapons and everything. The entrance just Rp 4.000,- for domestic and Rp 8.000,-for foreigner.

Karimunjawa is a beautiful island in Jepara, Central Java. It has beautiful coral and good underwater view. This place is very nature, clean and it's like a heaven. We can fishing, snorkeling and diving.

We can go there by boat from Jepara moreless 6 hour and the tickets Rp.25.000,-.And we can depart from Semarang also by Kartini boat moreless 3 hours and the tickets is Rp 110.000,-

Morethan 13 small islands over there. We can choose which one we will visit. All of them are very beautiful.

We can enjoy the sunrise and sunset,swimming in the beach with white sand,....wwooooowww it's so amazing. To see local people fishing.

Wayang Kulit (Skin Wayang)

Wayang kulit is Javanesse traditional performance that using kulit (skin). Wayang skin made from cow’s skin or goat’s skin. Wayang formed like human, animal…etc. Wayang played by a player called dalang. Wayang kulit is combination about wayang and Javanesse traditional music called gamelan. Niyaga is music player.
There are 2 kinds of wayang story. There are Ramayana and Mahabarata. Ramayana tells us about a couple Rama and Shinta. Rahwana kidnapped Shinta. He wants to marry Shinta. Mahabarata tells us about Pandawa (5 brothers) fight with Kurawa(100 brothers), because of Astina kingdom.
In Semarang,Central Java, we could see the performance of Wayang kulit once a month. Every Thursday night /malam jum’at kliwon(Javanesse kalender). It’s free charge. We can see in TBRS(Taman Budaya Raden Saleh). The performance start at 09.00 pm-03.00 am. There are 3-5 woman singer called sinden. It’s too long story and maybe you will boring to see this performance, but I’m sure you will be hypnothized and forget the time.

HAVING FUN CANO

We can spend our time by cano if your hobby is canoing. We can play at the river in Dukuh Mojolaban Sukoharjo,Central Java. Dukuh village is 5 km to east from Solo City. It has fresh air, good view because of green rice field and we’ll see Merbabu mountain and Merapi mountain at the west side, and we’ll see Lawu mountain at the east side. The river has 2m depth and clean.
There are 2 kind of cano, balance cano and general cano. We could try general cano for beginner because general cano has good balancing, so we can’t fall in the water. You can try balancing cano if you expert already.
We’ll forget the time when we play cano because it’s so amazing. After play cano, we can swim in the river

SUKUH TEMPLE

Sukuh Temple is Hindu's temple. Sukuh temple in karanganyar,Central Java. It has good view and fresh air. The forest arround of it. Sukuh temple has unique statues. Turtles statue, gods statue and monster and his penis statue.

It's about 30 km from solo. You can by bus from Solo to Karangpandan bus station and pay Rp.5000. Then by public transportation Rp.5000. And finally by ojek(Motorbike transortation) Rp.7.000. Ticket entrance Rp 2500 for lokal people and Rp 10.000 for foreigner.

You will be satisfied because it has cold air and amazing view. We can buy rabbit sate for lunch about RP 7.000.

tawangmangu

Tawangmangu called Grojogan Sewu,at Karanganyar,Central Java.Height moreless 25m. Grojogan sewu is a waterfall under Lawu mountain.It has nice view, fresh air and so many monkeys over there.It's still nature.

It's so easy to visit grojogan sewu waterfall, because so many bus from solo to tawangmangu. We just pay ticket Rp.10.000,-. from Solo, you must stop in the Tawangmangu bus station.We could walk and enjoy the view to waterfall. Entrance Rp.6.000,- for domestic and Rp.19.000,- for foreigner.

We must walk moreless 500m,then we arrive to waterfall.We will so tired, but when we arrive we forget if we're tired because of fantastic view and so many monkeys arround of us. We can eat over there,favorit menu is sate kelinci(rabbit sate) and chicken sate.It's so delicious and cheap just Rp 7.000,-.We eat on the carpet.

Tawangmangu disebut juga grojogan sewu. Terletak di Kabupaten Karanganyar,Jawa tengah. Ketinggiannya kira-kira 25 meter. Air terjun grojogan sewu merupakan air terjun di lereng gunung lawu. Pemandangannya sangat indah, udaranya sejuk, dan kera- kera yang lucu manambah keindahan tawangmangu yang memang masih alami.

Akses jalan ke tawangmangu sangat lancar karena banyak bus jurusan Solo-Tawangmangu yang harga tiket bus hanya Rp.10.000,00. Bus jurusan Solo-Tawangmangu akan berakhir di terminal Tawangmangu. Sembari menikmati kanan kiri jalan yang indahj, kita bisa menapaki jalan menuju lokasi air terjun. Sesampai disana,kita bisa membeli tiket seharga Rp. 6.000,00 untuk wisatawan domestik, dan Rp.19.000,00 untuk wisatawan mancanegara.

Untuk mencapai air terjun, kita harus menapaki anak tangga kuranglebih 500 meter. Cukup melelahkan juga sih,tapi rasa lelah segera terbayar oleh keindahan panorama air terjun yang fantastis. Rasanya tidak sabar untuk segera membasuh muka dengan dinginnya air tawangmangu. Kera- kera dengan nakalnya bercanda dan menunggu makanan yang diberikan pengunjung.

Setelah berbasah- basahan di air terjun, perut rasanya lapar. tapi jangan khawatir karena disitu tersedia sate kelinci maupun sate ayam, dan kita makan lesehan
